LIVE PITCHING IN A BOX The HomePlate machine can simulate almost any pitcher you are likely to face.
The SOFTBALL Model can throw risers, sinkers, curves, drop curves, screwballs, and drop screwballs at speeds to 70 MPH. Or any other combination of pitches you select. And it can do it all automatically with only seven seconds between pitches.
Complete Control The HomePlate machine can throw pitches in sequential or random order, or you can practice repeatedly against any individual pitch. You can also control pitch timing manually using the SINGLE PITCH feature, which is useful
when a coach wants more time between pitches for instruction.
Pitch Discrimination
With a regular pitching machine hitters swing
at every pitch, and therefore don’t practice the
highest level hitting skill of Pitch Discrimination. The HomePlate allows you to program amixture of balls and strikes, as well as different types of pitches. Hitters then need to make the “swing/don’t swing” decision on every
pitch just like in a real game.
Game Simulation
Put that scouting report on your next opposing pitcher to real use by programming his/her pitches into the HomePlate machine. Then select RANDOM pitch order to simulate that pitcher for a game-like practice.
Simple Programming Programming HomePlate requires only three simple steps and typically takes less than 30 seconds per pitch. You can store up to eight different pitches in each of eight different programs (up to 64 total pitches). And you only need to program your pitches one time because HomePlate remembers your pitches even after you turn it off.
A WHOLE NEW BALL GAME The HomePlate machine uses a patented three-wheel pitching mechanism that is more accurate than two wheels because it puts more gripping surface on the ball. HOMEPLATE CONTROL CENTER
HomePlate Control Center The HomePlate Control Center allows a user to control all the features of the HomePlate machine on a convenient control panel that can be placed near the batter’s end of the cage. For commercial use where the facility operator only wants the user to have limited control, a mechanical lockout allows the user to change only the program, pitch order, and ball feed functions.
Remote Control An optional hand-held wired remote control lets you start and stop automatic pitching, or throw one pitch at a time.
